2024年10月10日上午,vivo在深圳国际会展中心举办了第七届开发者大会。今年的活动延续了去年的线下形式,同样在相同的场馆举行。
除了上午的主会场演讲外,下午还有7个线下分会场和1个互联网技术线上分会场同时举行,为与会者提供了密集沟通的机会,展示了vivo未来战略方向和内容。
在主会场,vivo正式发布了全新的AI战略“蓝心智能”,推出了全面升级的自研蓝心大模型矩阵,以及最新的系统和合作成果。

On the morning of October 10, 2024, the 2024 vivo Developer Conference (VDC) main event was held at the Shenzhen International Convention and Exhibition Center. This is the 7th edition of the vivo developer conference, and after returning to offline activities last year, this year's event was also held at the same venue.
Throughout the day, in addition to the main venue speeches in the morning, there were also 7 offline sub-venues for games, artificial intelligence, Blue River OS, IoT open ecosystem, and 1 online sub-venue for internet technology, all held simultaneously in the afternoon. This provided an opportunity for intensive communication and also pointed to vivo's strategic direction and actual content for the next stage.
At the main venue, vivo officially announced a new AI strategy - "Blue Intelligence", along with the upgraded self-developed Blue Heart large model matrix. The event also introduced OriginOS 5, Blue River OS 2, and vivo's latest achievements in security, humanism, and ecosystem cooperation.
This essentially continued the content framework of last year's vivo developer conference main venue speeches (including the same theme of "Common Heart, Same Journey" as last year), and pushed forward in various directions.

Last year, vivo launched its own technology brand "Bluetechnology", integrating Bluemap imaging, Blue Ocean battery life system, Blue crystal chip technology stack, as well as Blue Heart large model and Blue River operating system, hoping to build complete software and hardware integration capabilities. At last year's developer conference, vivo also first released the self-developed Blue Heart large model matrix, starting to build an ecosystem around AI.
As of this developer conference, vivo's AI capabilities have covered over 60 countries and regions worldwide, serving over 500 million mobile phone users.
The "Blue Intelligence" strategy released by vivo this time emphasizes the deep integration of large model technology and mobile operating system, which further concretizes abstract AI for users, providing more practical and specific services for end users.
Specifically, based on the Blue Heart large model, "Blue Intelligence" can understand the user's personal situation and preferences, provide personalized exclusive services to the user, and through deep integration with the system, continuously build a more natural and intuitive interaction for the user, making the experience more intelligent and warm. In this process, user privacy and security will also be fully protected.
For example, when a user drags a piece of information on the phone screen, the multimodal large model can deeply interpret the user's intent, providing the feedback that the user needs. With strong language representation and generation capabilities, the "Blue Heart Assistant" can achieve natural conversations with users, translate languages, simulate human voices, and even understand the emotions in a conversation. It can even take over audio for autonomous dialogue to complete tasks assigned by the user (a live demo of the restaurant reservation phone process was shown at the event).
With this strategic direction, vivo has released a new self-developed Blue Heart large model matrix, including the 100 billion-level Blue Heart cloud-side large model, which has been fully upgraded, especially focusing on improving intent understanding and task planning capabilities. Additionally, vivo has officially released the new 3 billion-parameter-level Blue Heart edge-side large model 3B, achieving a balance of performance improvement, low power consumption, and privacy security.
vivo also introduced a new self-developed Blue Heart voice large model that can accurately understand natural semantics and simulate human voice. In addition, there is the Blue Heart image large model that enhances the fusion of Chinese characteristics and Eastern aesthetics, as well as the Blue Heart multimodal large model that upgrades visual perception and understanding capabilities, continuously improving the experiences that AI can construct in different directions.
OriginOS 5 debuts, integrating vivo's latest achievements in all aspects
Every year, vivo updates OriginOS at the developer conference, and this year, OriginOS 5 has arrived. The system continues the design concept of "natural comfort, intuitive design" and incorporates vivo's latest achievements in AI, battery life, system fluency, and network communication.
OriginOS 5 brings spatial perception experience based on the Atomic Design System, introducing the new "Panoramic Weather" that allows users to perceive changes in reality in a natural way in a virtual world. The system also upgrades personalized lock screens, contextual wallpapers, and more. The entire system has over 1000 smoothness optimizations, involving light, shadows, interactions, form transitions, scene transitions, and more.
Behind this is the arrival of Unfair Scheduling Mechanism 3.0, which achieves intelligent allocation of GPU resources through the first introduction of GPU Unfair Scheduling, while the Android camp's Ledger Memory Ledger mechanism achieves precise scheduling of memory resources at the system level. The vivo-exclusive display enhancement technology "Virtual GPU" has also reached 2.0, integrating a fast response dynamic effect architecture, synthetic rendering accelerator, and graphic chain cooperative engine, achieving comprehensive optimization from touch to feedback interface.
Additionally, in OriginOS 5, "Blue Heart Assistant" and Jovi voice have officially merged, providing users with a more natural voice interaction experience, where users can long-press the bottom of the screen to call out "Assistant search" or get around-the-clock intelligent services through "Assistant suggestions". The top interface has also been upgraded to "Atomic Island" which can proactively provide subsequent services based on user operations.
OriginOS 5 also introduces the industry's first kilometer-level off-network communication technology, supporting over 1.5 kilometers of point-to-point voice intercom and text chat in network-less open environments (based on Bluetooth). The system has also undergone in-depth network performance optimization to ensure a smooth network experience in all scenarios. Additionally, the system introduces a new upgrade to the Blue Ocean battery life system, bringing efficient power management throughout the day through the introduction of new scenario energy efficiency engines and heterogeneous computing space 2.0 technologies.
Based on the Blue Heart large model, Blue River OS 2 is born entirely from AI
After releasing the self-developed Blue River operating system at last year's developer conference, vivo brought Blue River OS 2 this time. It is equipped with the real-time operating system kernel "Blue River Core" written in Rust language (Blue River OS 2 also becomes the industry's first operating system written entirely in Rust language), compatible with different embedded platforms, and possessing complete system scheduling, memory management, file system, network, and device management capabilities.
The system, built on the architecture of the Blue Heart large model, combined with the VCAP inference computing acceleration platform, supports flexible end-cloud deployment of large models with different parameters. The new service engine also provides support for understanding user habits and intent, making it a system entirely born from AI. vivo has also prepared a new Blue River UI framework for developers, based on adaptive UI layout, providing a consistent experience on different screen sizes with one development.
A more complete ecosystem, more secure, more humane care
This time, vivo also shared progress in multiple scenarios and directions. Vivo has been continuously researching and developing around five life scenes: smart travel, smart home, smart office, sports health, and audio-visual entertainment, breaking down brand barriers for true open smart connectivity. While opening up the ecosystem, vivo is also transposing AI capabilities across devices in the ecosystem, allowing users to efficiently communicate with devices through natural language.
Digitally, vivo's smart car connectivity is now connected to over 170 car brands, covering over 8500 models. In home smart interconnection, with deep involvement in the matter ecosystem, vivo is compatible with over 1200 SKUs across categories in the alliance. Additionally, vivo has become the first domestic manufacturer compatible with the Apple ecosystem, achieving deep compatibility with Apple's M series chips for cross-device coordination with Mac.
All of this comes with a focus on security, as vivo emphasizes adopting a "device-side priority, device-cloud coordination" technology strategy for AI services, where "data that can be processed on the device will never be uploaded to the cloud". When faced with complex AI task processing, the system efficiently calls on cloud-side large model capabilities to achieve efficient and secure device-cloud coordination, ensuring that AI services are both smart and secure.
Furthermore, through "Blue Intelligence", vivo empowers the device-side AI capabilities with the "Thousand Mirrors Trusted Engine", constructing end-to-end fraud protection. In the upgraded phone loss protection system, there is a new "Find Network" feature that supports offline search and, within the Android camp, achieves shutdown positioning first. The system also supports remote physical-level secure data deletion and chip-level flashing activation lock anti-theft.
In the aspect of humane care, vivo has upgraded the "Sign Language Translator" introduced last year with a "Sign Language Learning" feature, aiming to help more people learn sign language. Based on the Blue Heart voice large model, "vivo Listen and Speak" has added free speaking in dialects, currently supporting 6 dialects with more languages in adaptation. Also, with the boost of the voice large model, "vivo See" has added real-time question and answer functionality, becoming the industry's first multi-modal large model visual assistant product.
