Exploring more fashionable possibilities for professional athletic running shoes or outdoor shoes through collaborations with designer brands has become an important strategy for sports brands. Recently, brands like HOKA ONE ONE, Saucony, and Salomon have introduced such joint new works, retaining the technological configurations of professional sports equipment while presenting more eye-catching appearances.

HOKA x Paria Farzaneh Joint Series RESTORE CHUKKA

On October 12, HOKA ONE ONE officially released the new joint RESTORE CHUKKA in collaboration with British-Iranian designer Paria Farzaneh. The series is inspired by intricately decorated cakes, reimagining the RESTORE TC with redesigned contours, a more three-dimensional overall look, and higher collars. The shoe upper is made of horsehair fabric with embossed patterns, echoing the patterns on cakes.

It is available in two colors, cream, and chocolate, priced at 1299 yuan.

COSTS x Saucony KINVARA 4 RE Joint Series

Saucony recently launched a new joint series with the trend brand COSTS in Shenzhen, following their collaboration in 2022. This collaboration is based on KINVARA 4 RE, with the concept of "playful interstellar", incorporating elements such as meteorite trajectories and star surface textures into the design of running shoes. The outsole undergoes an antique treatment, adding perforations, while the shoe's logo features colorful laser materials symbolizing the galaxy.

It also retains the configuration of KINVARA 4 RE itself, with various splash-proof fabric technologies on the upper, a heel pull tab, nylon drawstring laces, TPU midsole, and rubber outsole.

In addition to the already released "Halite Interstellar Gray" colorway, another "Fusion Crust Meteorite Sand" will be launched on November 9.

Y/Project x Salomon Speedcross 3

On October 9, Y/Project and Salomon officially released their collaboration Speedcross 3. Initially introduced in Y/Project's Autumn/Winter 2024 collection, it was one of creative director Glenn Martens' final projects before departure.

Its main feature is the exaggerated drawstring wrinkles that transform the upper of these trail running shoes, while retaining Salomon's signature Sensifit upper technology to ensure comfort and fit. It comes in two colorways, one dark and one light, and was officially released on October 10.

While there are new releases, Y/Project's future is uncertain. Following the founder's death and Glenn Martens' departure, the brand confirmed this week that it has initiated bankruptcy proceedings and is seeking a sale. For students who appreciate Y/Project's past aesthetic styles, this collaboration with Salomon may be one of the few remaining opportunities to get involved.

New Balance x niko and ... New Collaborative Collection

On October 10, niko and ... released a new collaborative collection with New Balance.

The collection includes 574, 370, and RC42 models, all retaining classic silhouettes in niko and ...'s signature black and white color scheme. The uppers feature suede with mesh panels, patent leather, and the highlight being the decorative "New Balance" logo shoelaces that inject a touch of vitality into the classic minimalist aesthetic.

The collection is currently open for pre-orders and will be officially released on October 15.

Martine Rose for Clarks Originals Autumn/Winter 2024 Collection

Earlier, the Autumn/Winter 2024 collection collaboration between Martine Rose and Clarks Originals was officially launched. This is the second collection created by Martine Rose as a guest creative director for the brand, featuring multiple models.

It includes fluffy pointed-toe high heels with padded duck down in various colors, CLOGs with sculptural designs featuring crocodile textures, plush, and knit materials, and the iconic "biscuit shoes" in a variety of materials and colors.

Birkenstock 1774 250th Anniversary Arizona Model

This year marks the 250th anniversary of Birkenstock's founding, and on October 10, the brand released the 250th-anniversary commemorative Arizona model. It retains the classic silhouette of the shoe, using vegetable-tanned leather and leather-wrapped buckles—during wear, the leather leaves a unique luster and marks. The shoe also features stitched details on the upper, adding to its exquisite elegance.

It is available in original leather and black, and is currently on sale.
