本来预算就十几万,看见这个无边框车门就走不动道了。

不久前,一位宝马 2 系的新车主在社交平台上分享了他的购车心得。他透露,自己以 16.39 万元的优惠价格购入了这辆官方指导价为 27.29 万元的轿跑车。他详细列出了购车的总成本:“裸车 16.39 万,购置税 1.45 万,保险 9000,上牌+装潢 1000 块钱,总价 19.3 万元搞定。”

在他看来,以不到 20 万元的价格,买下一辆有着时尚外观和蓝天白云标的小车,是一笔非常划算的买卖,“还是 2.0T 的”,他补充道。

需要说明的是,他购买的并非出镜率更高的双门 2 系,而是有着四个门的 225i 四门轿跑车。

能有如此大的折扣,自然与入门级燃油车市场受到新能源冲击这样的外部原因,也与它本身即将迎来的改款有关。

10 月 16 日,全新宝马 2 系四门轿跑车正式在海外发布。新车不但换上了全新的外观和内饰,轴距、动力和悬架也有了较大幅度的升级。

入门级市场,宝马还不打算放弃。

新时代的「古典钢炮」

自 2020 年在广州车展亮相以来,宝马 2 系四门轿跑车的造型一直有着不小的争议,评价呈现出明显的两极化趋势。值得注意的是,尽管同属 2 系,四门版与双门版在设计上的差异极为显著,甚至可以说是毫不相关。

宝马在车型主页里是这样写的:“2 系四门轿跑车具备自成一格的独立美学。”

果真是自成一格,建议四门 2 系车主在开车的时候单曲循环张国荣的《我》,“我就是我,是颜色不一样的烟火。”

而在新款四门 2 系上可以很明显地发现,宝马换了一种设计思路,减少了那种特立独行的气质,使其更贴近宝马的家族设计。毫不夸张地说,如今的它,甚至有点「小 5 系」的感觉。

宝马首先将进气格栅换成了 i5 M60 的样式,两侧的日间行车灯也改成了竖向排布。

车侧也和 5 系一样,新车的后窗新增了更明显的霍氏拐角,以及数字「2」的标识。

改动最明显的是车尾的线条,介于溜与不溜之间——这一点也和 5 系如出一辙。

宝马似乎已经放弃了最初那种想当然的设计理念,意识到四门 2 系的潜在买家追求的并不是张扬的个性,而是一辆经济实惠的「宝马牌轿车」,外观设计自然是越「宝马」越好。

在外观设计之外,四门 2 系的后排空间也是需要改进的重点。尽管比双门版多出两个车门,但之前的四门 2 系的后排空间的舒适度并没有明显提升。不过,值得庆幸的是,宝马如今为新款车型带来了更长的轴距,比现款车型加长了 110mm,车高也增加了 25mm,达 1445 mm。

虽然后排看起来还是小板凳,但纵向空间应该会有不小的提升。

前排同样焕然一新,用上了宝马新一代内饰设计,仪表台造型由此前的 BMW iX 演化而来。受限于车型定位,5 系上的水晶氛围灯自然就没有了,取而代之的是一条 LED 点阵灯带。

车机系统使用宝马最新的的 iDrive 9,语音控制能力有所提升,无线苹果 CarPlay 也算是宝马的传统艺能了,这次在入门车型上也没有落下。不仅如此,哈曼卡顿立体声音响系统、座椅加热、无钥匙进入、无线充电这些功能,现在也成了标配。

智能化也标配了一些功能,比如碰撞预警、车道偏离、自动泊车等,但拨杆变道和离车遥控泊车等进阶一点的功能,还是需要选装,可谓「远远落后」。

好消息是,在宝马擅长的地方,新款四门 2 系有了不小的进步。

动力上,新车有两种选择,一个是 1.5L 三缸发动机+48V 轻混的组合,这个没什么特别的,输出功率仅有 170 马力,百公里加速需要 7.9 秒。但 M235 上的 2.0T 四缸机就不太一样了,宝马声称,他们对这台发动机进行了「大幅优化」,拥有 312 马力,零百加速仅需 4.9 秒——

这一成绩与奔驰 AMG CLA 35 完全一致,只比奥迪 S3 慢 0.2 秒。

变速箱方面,宝马为两款车型换掉了原来的 8AT 变速箱,取而代之的是 7 速双离合自动变速箱,M235 还配有自适应 M 运动悬架、15.2 英寸大尺寸刹车盘和前四活塞卡钳,是一辆不折不扣的「古典钢炮」。

宝马这回总算是弄懂了需求

在宝马的产品线中,2 系可能是最缺乏辨识度的系列。人们可能对 M2 或 2 系双门轿跑有所耳闻,但那款「2 系中的四门异类」往往被放置在 4S 店最不显眼的角落。

年纪稍长的读者可能会有印象,2 系最初就是个圆鼓鼓的四门休旅车,当年华晨宝马将它国产的时候,还掀起了一阵不小的抢购热潮。原因自然是便宜,其主要吸引力在于价格亲民,2 系一度被誉为「最实惠的宝马」,直到国产 1 系的推出。

回顾国产 1 系的历史,我们可以看到这款车的定位与现在的四门 2 系类似,都是宝马为了争夺入门级轿车市场份额而推出的车型。不可否认,这是一辆开起来乐趣十足的灵巧小车,但遗憾的是,这一战略并未如预期般成功。

后来,不想把市场拱手让给奔驰 A 级和奥迪 A3L 的宝马,又在 2020 年带来了四门 2 系轿跑,吹响反攻的号角。

当时,宝马将 1 系的失败归咎于设计,认为紧凑级轿车应该拥有独特的外观。因此,当时的 2 系采用了独树一帜的设计风格,并配备了新一代的内饰,更加强调以驾驶者为中心的设计理念。

为了迎合中国消费者的偏好,当时的 2 系车型特别标配了无框车门,这在当时是一项非常罕见且吸引人的配置。除此之外,还提供了全景天窗作为选装选项。总而言之,四门 2 系集成了多种时尚配置,精准地瞄准了年轻白领群体。

然而,宝马忽略了两个关键点:首先,当时市场对三缸发动机的接受度并不高;其次,四门 2 系在空间利用上并没有进行优化,其车宽、轴距和车高与 1 系保持一致,这并没有满足消费者对空间的期待。

可以说,当时的宝马还没有意识到,大家的需求只是一辆便宜且大碗的「宝马牌轿车」。

那,宝马这次能成了?还真不一定,宝马正面临着激烈的市场竞争和内部挑战。在外部,新能源汽车品牌正逐步侵蚀高端市场的份额,分流客户。同时,在内部,宝马经销商持续亏损,为了降本增效,内耗严重。

还记得三季度宝马高调宣布退出价格战吗?这一战略选择虽然在一定程度上保护了品牌形象,但也不可避免地导致了当季销量的显著下降。

眼看就四季度了,得为年报考虑啊。于是,宝马高层迅速做出决策,大手一挥,给经销商们批了一笔巨额补贴,让他们重回战场。

至于今天这辆全新 2 系四门轿跑车,预计在明年一季度国产上市后,也将面临一轮又一轮的价格调整。

In the entry-level market, BMW is not ready to give up.

The New Era "Classical Steel Cannon"

Since its debut at the Guangzhou Auto Show in 2020, the BMW 2 Series four-door coupe has been the subject of much controversy, with evaluations showing a clear trend of polarization. It is worth noting that although they both belong to the 2 Series, the difference in design between the four-door and two-door versions is very significant, almost irrelevant.

According to BMW's model page: "The 2 Series four-door coupe has a unique and independent aesthetic."

If it is really unique, it is recommended that the four-door 2 Series owners listen to Leslie Cheung's "I" on repeat while driving, "I am me, a firework in a different color."

But on the new four-door 2 Series, it can be clearly seen that BMW has adopted a different design approach, reducing the unconventional image and making it closer to the BMW family design. It wouldn't be an exaggeration to say that it now even has a bit of a "mini 5 Series" feel.

BMW first replaced the front grille with the i5 M60 style and changed the daytime running lights to a vertical arrangement.

On the side of the car, like the 5 Series, the rear window of the new car has a more distinct hofmeister kink and the number "2" logo.

The most significant change is in the rear line of the car, somewhere between sleek and not sleek — a design characteristic shared with the 5 Series.

BMW seems to have given up the initial presumptuous design concept, realizing that potential buyers of the four-door 2 Series are not looking for flamboyant personalities, but for an economical and practical "BMW sedan," where the more "BMW" the exterior design, the better.

In addition to exterior design, improving the rear space of the four-door 2 Series is also a key focus. Although it has two more doors than the two-door version, the previous four-door 2 Series did not significantly improve the comfort of the rear space. Fortunately, BMW has now brought a longer wheelbase to the new model, with an additional 110mm compared to the current model, and the height of the car has also increased by 25mm, reaching 1,445 mm.

Although the rear seats still look like small benches, the longitudinal space should see a significant improvement.

The front has also been revamped, featuring BMW's new generation interior design, with the dashboard design evolved from the BMW iX. Due to the model positioning, the 5 Series' crystal ambiance lighting is naturally absent, replaced by an LED matrix light strip.

Like most new BMW cars, the 2 Series four-door coupe integrates a 10.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a 10.7-inch touchscreen on the same piece of glass.

The car's infotainment system uses BMW's latest iDrive 9, with improved voice control capabilities, wireless Apple CarPlay as a traditional feature for BMW, which is also standard in entry-level models. Not only that, a Harman Kardon stereo system, heated seats, keyless entry, wireless charging, and other functions are now included as standard.

Several intelligent features are also standard, such as collision warning, lane departure warning, and automatic parking. However, advanced functions like lane change assist and remote parking are still optional, slightly "falling behind."

The good news is that BMW has made significant progress in areas where it excels with the new four-door 2 Series.

In terms of power, the new car has two options, one is a 1.5L three-cylinder engine with a 48V mild hybrid system, which is not particularly special, with an output power of only 170 horsepower and a 0-100 km/h acceleration time of 7.9 seconds. But the 2.0T four-cylinder engine on the M235 is quite different. BMW claims that they have made "significant optimizations" to this engine, with 312 horsepower and a 0-100 km/h acceleration time of just 4.9 seconds—

This performance is exactly the same as the Mercedes-AMG CLA 35, only 0.2 seconds slower than the Audi S3.

In terms of transmission, BMW has replaced the original 8-speed AT gearbox with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox for both models, and the M235 also comes with adaptive M sport suspension, 15.2-inch large brake discs, and front four-piston calipers, making it a true "classical steel cannon."

BMW Finally Understands the Demand

In BMW's product line, the 2 Series may be the most lackluster series. People may have heard of the M2 or the 2 Series coupe, but the "oddity in the 2 Series" is often placed in the least conspicuous corner of the 4S dealership.

Readers slightly older may remember that the 2 Series was originally a round and bulging four-door hatchback. When Huachen BMW introduced its localization, it created quite a stir. The reason was affordability; its main appeal was the cost-effective nature, and the 2 Series was once hailed as the "most affordable BMW," until the introduction of the locally produced 1 Series.

Looking back at the history of the locally produced 1 Series, we can see that this car's positioning is similar to the current four-door 2 Series, both are models introduced by BMW to compete for a share of the entry-level sedan market. Undoubtedly, it is a nimble little car that's fun to drive, but unfortunately, this strategy did not succeed as expected.

Later, in order not to concede the market to the Mercedes A-Class and Audi A3L, BMW, in 2020, introduced the four-door 2 Series coupe, sounding the horn of counterattack.

At that time, BMW attributed the failure of the 1 Series to its design, believing that compact sedans should have a unique appearance. Therefore, the 2 Series at that time adopted a distinctive design style and equipped it with a new generation interior, emphasizing a driver-centric design philosophy.

To cater to the preferences of Chinese consumers, the 2 Series at that time was specially equipped with frameless doors, which was a very rare and appealing feature at the time. In addition, a panoramic sunroof was also offered as an optional feature. In short, the four-door 2 Series integrated multiple trendy features, precisely targeting young white-collar workers.

However, BMW overlooked two key points: firstly, the market's acceptance of three-cylinder engines was not high at the time; secondly, the four-door 2 Series did not optimize space utilization, as its width, wheelbase, and height were consistent with the 1 Series, which did not meet consumer expectations for space.

It can be said that at that time, BMW had not yet realized that people's demand was just for an affordable and dependable "BMW sedan."

So, can BMW make it this time? It's really hard to say. BMW is currently facing fierce market competition and internal challenges. Externally, new energy car brands are gradually eroding the market share of high-end brands and diverting customers. At the same time, internally, BMW dealers continue to incur losses, leading to significant internal disruptions.
